A NEW CHRISTMAS RELEASE AT BUGABOO STAMPS!

With Christmas just around the corner, and all that decorating happening, I decided to make today's new release into some of the cutest Christmas Tree Ornaments.

These primitive angel images are the new release from Bugaboo stamps. Here is how to make them:

1. Print the images
2. Colour in some traditional Christmas colours
3. Fussy cut them out
4. Using a fancy circle die, cut out three circles out of some silver cardstock (Mine are cut out of the silver aluminium coffee tine seals)
5. Place the angels on the circles and laminate.
6. Punch a hole in the laminated area, and attach a fancy cord.
7. Decorate your tree!

Would you like to give it a try yourself? Hop on over to the Catch the Bug Blog where you will be able to see the rest of the Design Team's creations using the new release. From there you will be able to link to the store, challenges, etc.

REST IN PEACE, DEAREST CHARLYNN

My sweet and beautiful young friend, Charlynn, finally lost her earthly battle with cancer and leukaemia today.

Charlynn, in your short life of only 20 years, you inspired me to push through any hardship, pain and suffering like you did!

You were the most amazing bellydancer, you delighted so many with your enthusiasm, and it was a absolute pleasure to have made costumes for you. I enjoyed every minute of our trip to Cape Town last year, to attend the International Bellydance Festival, and I will forever be thankful that you were able to join us.

Rest in peace, sweetheart, free from pain - am sure you are teaching those angels to shimmy and showing off your cute belly roll!

I know you are now safe in the arms of Jesus, even more beautiful in heave than you were on earth!

I will miss you until we meet again,

Here is this week's Sketch and my card for your inspiration:

I used an image from the A Day for Daisies store, and coloured with Copics and a white gel pen. I made a frame card and pasted the fussy cut image into the frame. On the inside of the card I added a offcut of pale blue metallic paper from my scraps box to resemble the sky, and for the embellishments I have a posy of flowers on a die cut (from my scrap box), a silver ribbon (from my birds nest of ribbon offcuts - lol!) and a pretty gem from my box of 'only one of's'.

A DAY FOR DAISIES : NOVEMBER CLUB KIT

I am back to show you another of the fabulous images, this one called "Walking Sadie", available in the A DAY FOR DAISIES November Club Kit:

Doesn't this image just beg for the vintage treatment? That's what I thought - and a touch of white for purity to reflect the innocence of the young lady.

The image was coloured using my Copics and a white gel pen. The embellies are what this is all about
vintage lace collar
pearls
a cameo
a fabulous flower

Here are some closeups:

The 'stains' are perfectly placed coffee stains - do you know how hard that is to do deliberately?!

The other sets in the kits are just beautiful too, and you can see them by clicking HERE and if you'd like more details about the club, just click HERE

Of course, you don't need to be a member of the club to get your hands on the fabulous A DAY FOR DAISIES images, you can find them in the store HERE.

A NEW CHALLENGE AT "CATCH THE BUG"

Yip, it's Saturday, and time for a new challenge at Catch the Bug, and this week we are asking you to make a pocket card.

The De4sing Team have some wonderful inspiration cards for you, and this is mine :

I used that cute image called "Wee One Angel - side cloud" one of the Wee One Angels available in the Bugaboo Store (remember that at the end of this post I will provide you with all the useful links). She was coloured using Copics, a white gel pen and some Twinkles glitter paint.

And oh my gosh, for the card, I must admit that it was a comedy of errors when it came to making the card, cos I cut, and folded, stuck the bits down, lifted them up again, and what started out as a twisted easel card has ended up as a twisted easel pocket card! LOL - I may just have invented a new fold (wink-wink). But as they say in the classics, "it was alright on the night", and the card doesn't look too bad, don't you think?

This is a close up of the little card:

Here are those useful links that I promised:

If you pop over to the Catch the Bug blog, you'll be in such an exciting place!

You'll be able to link to the Bugaboo store;
There's a link to the challenges;
If it's tutorials you like to view, the link is there too ...

But wait, I'm not going to say any more!
Pop over there by clicking HERE and discover for yourself, and as a thank you, please grab the freebie!
We'd love you to share with us any projects you've made using the Bugaboo images, by linking your posts back to the store and/or the blog. Please respect the Angel Policy by not sharing uncoloured images, but we'd love you to share our links!
